A famous writer seeks the mother of all stories
to save his career and win the woman he loves

Writer Paul Genet’s goal was to discover the Final Story—the meta-story from which all other stories derive. After years of frustration, he abandons the search for the elusive Final Story in order to gain immediate fame and fortune. His Faustian bargain leads to phenomenal but fleeting success.

If you are looking for fiction that is unique, original, and absolutely controversial, look no further than this novel about the end of time. The novel moves quickly from Washington Square in New York City, to Washington, D.C., to San Francisco, to New Orleans, and finally, to its dramatic climax on the West Bank of the Jordan River.

As the novel opens, Paul needs to save his failing career and so begins again his quest for the Final Story. But instead of discovering the mother of all stories, he has a bizarre existential experience that brings into question who he really is. Confused and discouraged, Paul quits writing.

This brings him into conflict with everyone, especially with his new love, Maria Perez. To please her, Paul continues his search. Although he uncovers important clues, his attempts fail. When he wants to quit again, Maria will not hear of it.

However, Maria has a change of heart when Paul's next attempt uncovers a new clue that seems to reinforce his identity crisis. She has fallen in love with him as she watched him struggle to meet her expectations. Concerned that she may have pushed him too far, she begs him to quit. Maria’s change of heart comes too late. Paul cannot quit this close to possibly achieving his lifelong goal.

This latest clue takes Paul to the West Bank where at last he discovers the Final Story. Paul’s elation is immediately dashed when he realizes he can use the Final Story to save his career and claim his true identity only if he is willing to end time, destroy free will, and start the Last Judgment.
